Its been a while since I gave an update so here it is:
On 31 Nov 2007: Weight = 173lbs (78.47kg), Waist = 102cm (40 in), BMI = 31.6
On 22 Feb 2008: Weight = 148lbs (67.13kg), Waist = 84cm (33.07 in), BMI = 27.1
On 14 Mar 2008: Weight = 146lbs (66.23kg), Waist = 82cm (32.3 in), BMI = 26.7
Not much of a change in 2 weeks. Actually last week I gained 1 pound before losing it again. I'm hoping when I weigh myself tomorrow I have lost at least another pound. Things have slowed down but there is still weight loss.
I scored quite a few goals this week playing 5-a-side football (soccer) with my colleagues. The way we select teams is based on the first 10 people to respond to the organisers football email. Normally I respond quite quickly. In any case after that the teams are selected so that they are well balanced so we get a good game.
We normally play for 1 hour but this week we managed 1.5 hours (as no one turned up and the people at the sports centre didn't come to stop us!). Depending on whether you class this activity as general or competitive I have burned about 600-900 calories.
I am also playing badminton once a week and that also means 300-600 calories burned. So I'm happier and fitter. I'm still trying to lose more weight, I guess I better keep closer track of those calories and be as strict as I was in the beginning.
Only 13 pounds (5.9kg) to go before I reach my target weight of 133lbs (9st 7lbs/60.3kg). So I still need to lose just under 6 bags of sugar :)
